Declan McCarthy, Irish Landscape Photographer, Giclée prints for sale, PayPal
I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1961 and live in Leopardstown on the south side of Dublin City, in the foothils of the lovely Dublin Mountains.
I enjoy live music from traditional Irish , a good gig or a concert.
I also like to walk in my local Wicklow Mountains (known as The Garden of Ireland) or along the nearby coastline of south County Dublin.
Getting away for a few nights somewhere here in Ireland is another favourite.
I became interested in photography whilst in school and saved hard to by my first Canon SLR camera as a teenager.
I studied Advanced Computer Programming in Trinity College, Dublin in the evenings of the early 1980s.
I worked in I.T. until the end of 2007.
During this time photography and the visual arts were always of great intrest to me.
I paint in oils from time to time, mainly portraits.
I also gained some experience in a commercial photographic studio many years ago.
Landscape photography has always been my love, as it, like golf, is a great excuse for a long walk.
I have a studio in Leopardstown, Dublin 18 where I also do family portraiture etc.
All photos were taken using Canon cameras.
My older photos taken on film or slide/transparency do not, unfortunately, scan to a sufficient quality to be reproduced as large prints similar to what I have for sale on this website, so only my digital photographs are currently available for sale.

I removed my guestbook because I was being hit with spam which I found offensive, and I had no desire for this to be seen by anybody else.
